About Kekkaishi :
Yoshimori Sumimura and Tokine Yukimura, are called Kekkaishi. Kekkaishi use kekkai, a technique to capture and destroy ayakashi (monsters and demons). As heirs to a clan that has protected the land of Karasumori for generations, they must perform that duty usually every night–and sometimes even during the day!
Summary of story:

Five hundred years ago, a feudal lord was attacked by demons wanting to retrieve his mysterious inner power, the invincible power that can help them take over the human world. The famous mage, Tokimori Hazama, was called upon, and with his 2 students, managed to save the whole land. But due to their sickness, the feudal lord was killed, his power buried with him at a site called Karasumori.

In the present day, Yoshimori Sumimura and Tokine Yukimura, heirs of the Hazama clan, became the kekkaishi protecting the land and the power. They use a technique called Kekkai, a form of magical barrier, used to capture and destroy Ayakashi (monsters/demons) that are drawn to this land. Any demons that come near to the power will become stronger and therefore Yoshimori and Tokine are to guard the land from intrusion by the Ayakashi.

But the demons form a powerful organization, led by a nine-tailed demon fox to take over that mysterious power. Yoshimori plans to destroy not only the demons, but also the power to completely save the world from being controlled by demons. To do that, he first needs to know what the power actually is, and also strengthen his poor kekkai skills...


For me, it was great story but it also have comedy! ^ ^lll It is funny when Yoshimori always follow Tokine went to their school on everyday.. He always cook a cake for her when he spends time.. hehe... She don't like Yoshimori because he also disturbed her while she was doing her duties as 'successor kekkasihi'. Two clans of family Sumimura and Yukimura who protecting a land (Karasumori) on long time.. That is why Yoshimori and Tokine are chosen to become 'true legitimate of successor'. They are strong and have more skills and powers as they like to used..

I wonder that why Yoshimori's oldest brother, Masamori Sumimura was not picked as the legitimate successor since he is born into Sumimura's family.. He is very skillful and most strongest in Sumimura's family but Yoshi's mother was strong too..The reason are why Masamori and Yoshi's mother were not chosen as 'true successor'... Maybe because their skills are different than Yoshimori? Or Their power only protect their life, not Karasumori?

I read this manga.. Karasumori land only can choose who is 'true successor of two clans family' when who is born in their family.. Yoshi's grandpa and Tokine's grandma are heir of 'legitimate of successor' who still be alive and can fight so very well.. I think that maybe Karasumori are very strong because four people (successors of clan family Yoshimori and Tokine) still on their land? If one of them will be killed, maybe Karasumori can be weaken and will taken over by the strongest demon...

It is very mystery story behind Karasumori.. Yoshimori never understand why Tokimori Hazama chose his family and Tokine's family must protect the strongest power hidden in Karasumori since 500 years ago.. What is the secret in the Kekkai box under Karasumori? What is kind of power which hidden by feudal lord? No one know this truth of Karasumori.. Only feudal lord, Shadow Organization and Tokimori Hazama know this secret.. :D That is why Yoshimori want to find one truth and seal Karasumori...
